Pahadi Mandir Ranchi is the main attraction point in Ranchi situated in the center of Ranchi city. The temple is situated at the top of a mountain and we have to climb total 430 stairs to perform the abhisheka of God Shiva. 

Many temples are situated at this mountain and left and right side of the main entrance gate. Everyday hundred of people visit this place. But on special days like Monday, Saturday, Sravan month, new year a big crowd gathered there to perform puja.

The best time to visit temple is early morning or the second half. That time you will get less number of devotees in the temple. 

To reach the temple you can follow many roots. But the best and easy path to reach by public transport is by coming from Ratu Road Chowk. Reach the Ratu road durga mandir. And take the opposite site straight root to follow the temple. 


The evening view of Pahadi Mandir is so refreshing that you will love to spend time there. The is surrounded by greenery and the cold air will heal your mind and the body. 

The mountain is full of many temples mainly Shiva temple, hanuman temple, Goddess Durga temple, Maa Kali temple, Maa Santoshi Temple, Shani temple, Maa Sati temple and many more.

Reach the place with your family and enjoy the evening aarti and the view of Pahadi Mandir. The lake view of Kanke Dam from Pahadi Mandir is so beautiful and will give you scenery view of whole Ranchi.

From the top of Ranchi Pahadi Mandir you can get a view of Ranchi Jagannath Mandir mountain also in the straight direction. 

One ancient cave is situated at the top of the mountain. And it is known as Naag Devta Mandir. 

This temple have renovated many times and every time when you visit here. You will witness some kind of construction work is going on. At present the stairs looks so beautiful for there multiple colors. No matter how is your mood. The vibrant colors and the fresh air will heal your mood.

British officials during there era used this mountain to punish Indian People here. That place had many bad memory at that time. After freedom the local people built temple at this place. So that the place can be worshipped. 

Every year to pay the tribute to national freedom fighter we do flag hosting at Pahadi Mandir Ranchi on 15 August and 26 January. This flag is the biggest national flag of Ranchi. And looks very beautiful when it is hosted in air.

Pahadi Baba Mandir Location is very near to Ratu Road Chowk Ranchi. Mandir is situated at a walking distance from Ranchi Ratu Road Chowk. Also it is very near to Kutchery Chowk, Kishorganj Chowk and Upper Bazaar Ranchi. Many routes meets at this point. And the temple is situated at a center of Ranchi.

  • Black salt and white salt
  • Lemon juice

Recipe making process-

Take one deep container. Add 5 spoon of sattu powder in it. Add chopped onion and green chilly. Add one full lemon juice. Add salt according to taste. add one glass of water. Mix all these very well. And serve it in glass. Add some chopped onion and green chilly for garnishing.
