Her identification is she have three eyes and she hold a sword in her right hand and her head in left hand. Her left leg is outwards and she stands at lotus flower. God Kamdev and her wife Rati is in sleeping position in earth next to her leg. She wears garland made up of flower, snake and human heads. Her tounge is coming outwords. Her hairs are open and her appearance is very similar to Maa Kali.
From her cutted neck three sections of blood is coming outwords. Two blood sections are going on the mouth of her two freinds standing next to her Jaya and Vijaya. And one is going on Maa Chinnmastika mouth.

Maa Chinnmastika temple is situated in Ramgarh District of Jharkhand. Maa Chinnmastika Mandir is very well connected to roads. The temple is situated at a distance of 80 Km from Ranchi which is a capital of Jharkhand, from Bokaro 60 Km, from Dhanbad 96 Km and from Hazaribagh 75 Km. You can visit this temple at any time in a year. But you can get more number of visitors on full moon night (purnima), no moon night (amavasya), Saradiya Navratri, Chaitra Navratri and on Gupt Navratri.

This temple is very ancient and by God Vishwakarma at Mahabharat time. In Veda and Purana Maa Chinnmastika name is mentioned. It is said that this holy place holds the second position in 51 Shaktipeeth. The steps near Damodar River is built on 22 May, 1972. Maa Chinnmastika is the Goddess of black magic. This temple is a center point of Tantra Mantra sidhi.

Maa Chinnmastika Mandir is red colored with multicolored gopuram towers. The temple is situated at a meeting point of two rivers Damodar and Bhairvi. These two river creates one small waterfall at their meeting junction. Four Yagya Kund is built at four corners of Rajrappa Mandir. Main mandir gate is facing towards east. The ancient pratima of Maa Chinnmastika is damaged by thief and at present new pratima is placed in main temple.

This temple is situated in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. You can feel the Goddess power and some positive energy at this place. This place is full of natural beauty. These two rivers Damodar and Bhairvi puts some extra beauty in this place. You can enjoy boating also at Damodar River.

The temple corridor is very big and every essential items are easily available here. Many hotels for fooding and staying are available here. In recent years this place is emerged as tourist spot.

Here devotees come for Hindu marriage, Mundan Sanskar, Engagement, New Vehicle Puja and for bali puja. In average every day around devotees offer 100-150 animal here for bali puja. Here many shelters are available at reasonable charges for staying and preparing prasad.

Aprat from Maa Chinnmastika temple many other temples like Sun temple, Maa Kali temple, shiv temple, 10 Mahavidya Mandir, Navlakha Mandir, Shiv Parwati Mandir are present. Two ponds are available inside the temple campus. One is dedicated to Maa Chinnmastika and one for Maa Kali. This ponds are not for human use.

One Day Maa Chinnmastika was taking bath in Bhairvi river with her two freinds Jaya and Vijaya. That time her freinds asked her food. So Mata Chinnmastika cut her neck by own and three sections of blood came out from her neck. One section of blood went in Jaya mouth, second section went in Vijaya mouth and the third section of blood went in Maa Chinnmastika mouth. So from thas time the devi is named as Chinnmastika.

Ancient Story behind Chinnmastika Temple

In early days one king was rulling in Chotanagpur named Raj and her queen Rupma. That time this place was known as Rajrupma. And later it became Rajrappa. The King saw one very beautiful girls in his dream and she said to offer puja to her temple beside Damodar River. From next morning the King started puja in this temple and soon he blessed with a boy child.

The story of Maa Chinnmastika is written on Veda and Purana. And this holy place is declared as 51 Shaktipeeth. During Mahabharat time God Vishwakarma made this temple.

51 Shaktipeeth (शक्ति पीठ ) – When Bhagwan Shankar was taking the death body of Goddess Parwati that time her body part fall down in 51 places. And in these places mata pratima emerged by own. Kamakhya temple situated in Assam stands at the first place in these shaktipeeth and Maa Chinnmastika temple stands at the second place. Rishi muni visits these temple in special tithi for their tantra sadhna. The steps of Damodar river is called as tantrik ghat.

Here one male river (Damodar) meets with one female river(Bhairvi). Their meeting point creates one small waterfall called as Rajrappa waterfall. Here boating facility is also available in Damodar river. You can hire photographers at very reasonable price. Chinnmastika Mandir is also known as Rajrappa Mandir.
